Description

Vigor composite frac plug utilizes a unique combination of composite components to provide a reliable, durable, and cost-effective design for temporary zone isolation during stage fracs in both vertical and horizontal wells. The short, lightweight plugs can withstand high pressures and temperatures, yet drill out rapidly to save rig time between stages.

Vigor composite frac plug are rigorously tested to validate anchoring, sealing and pressure integrity per ISO and API specifications. They are rated to reliably hold up to 10,000 psi and 300°F.

● Consistent drill times of 5-8 minutes or less.

● Ultron™ composite frac plugs are constructed from molded or machined composites, with composite slips, ensuring fast drilling and high reliability.

● The setting sleeve and shear adapter are designed to run on any wireline setting tool or tubing-run hydraulic setting tool, with Baker #10, and Baker #20 connections.

● Can be drilled out using conventional rigid tubing or coiled tubing.

Working Principles

The composite frac plug is run into the wellbore and actuated via hydraulic pressure or mechanical forces. This compresses the slip and cone assembly, forcing the slips outward to bite into the casing wall. The elastomeric seal element is also compressed to create a tight seal.

Differential pressure across the plug further enhances the gripping force and sealing performance. The proprietary backup systems prevent extrusion or by-pass. After fracturing, the plugs are milled out from top to bottom using a rotational milling BHA. The composite materials quickly disintegrate into small cuttings that can circulate easily out of the hole.
