Multiple Activation Bypass Valve (MCBV)

Multiple activation bypass valve is a set of short sub which can be opened and closed for many times. It is generally installed in special BHA such as directional, speed-up,LWD and so on.     The Multiple Activation Bypass Valve (MCBV) is a cutting-edge solution designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of downhole operations. This innovative tool, consisting of a set of short subs that can be opened and closed multiple times, is specifically engineered for integration into specialized Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHA) such as directional drilling systems, speed-up tools, and Logging While Drilling (LWD) equipment. 

    1. It can realize special operations such as plugging without pulling out of BHA, shorten drilling cycle and reduce well control risk;

    2. When the pump is stopped, the bypass valve will close automatically to reduce the possible U-tube effect or well control problems;

    3. It is not limited by downhole tools, instruments and bit bore, and can realize large displacement well flushing;

    4. It remove cuttings bedin directional and horizontal well section effectively;

    5. It can protect of downhole instruments and power drilling tools effectively;

    6. It can realize multiple underground open and close operations.

    As shown in Figure. switch ball group comprises an active ball, two closed balls and a locking ball. The active ball and locking ball are made of a new type of engineering plastics, and the closing ball is made of standard bearing steel ball.
    The multiple activation bypass valve is mainly composed of bypass sub, ball basket sub and switch ball group.
