VHRP Pure Hydraulic Set Packer
Description
Hydraulic Actuation: The VHRP Pure Hydraulic Set Packer is actuated using hydraulic pressure, allowing for a controlled and precise setting mechanism.
Positive Well Control: It provides continuous positive well control without the need for tubing movement during the setting process, enhancing safety margins during operations. This feature allows for the tubing to be securely landed and the wellhead to be installed before any circulation or displacement of well fluids, thus enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Retrievable Design: The design facilitates retrieval and re-setting as required, offering operational flexibility.
Simultaneous or Sequential Setting: Model VHRP offers the flexibility to set two or more packers either simultaneously or in a preferred sequence, providing versatility in well completion operations.
Pressure Containment: Engineered to contain high downhole pressures, with a locking mechanism that ensures the packer remains in place without continuous hydraulic force.
API Compliance: Manufactured in compliance with API (American Petroleum Institute) standards, ensuring reliability and quality.
Pressure Balancing: Equipped with a pressure balancing system to reduce the impact of differential pressure on the packer's sealing elements.
APPLICATIONS
Structure And Working Principle
Hydraulic activation: VHRP packers are activated by hydraulic pressure, which is applied through the wellhead to push the packer's packing elements outward to seal the well wall.
Mechanical Locking: Once the required seal is achieved, the packer remains in position via a mechanical locking mechanism, eliminating the need for continuous hydraulic pressure to maintain the packer condition.
Multi-stage sealing: Usually, packers are equipped with multi-stage sealing elements to adapt to different well diameters and ensure reliable sealing under different conditions.
Pressure Balancing: A pressure balancing mechanism is included in the packer design to reduce stress on the packer due to changes in pressure within the well.
