    Vigor VTS Telemetry Sub
    acts as the data-com-munication bridge between the surface acquisition system and the downhole logging instruments. It contains the cable-bus and instru- ment bus interfaces, a main control- ler, and a step-down DC-DC power section. The sub acquires tool data via the instrument bus, packets it, and transmits it to the surface acqui- sition chassis through the cable-bus interface; at the same time the surface system can send com- mands to configure or control both the telemetry sub and the logging tools, realizing full-duplex communication.

    collects the radioactive inten-sity of the formation in real time through highly sensitive scintillation crystals, generating high-resolution gamma curves.
    These curves provide an accurate depth correction bench- mark for well production profiles and water absorption profiles logging, and also guide the positioning of perforation operations.

    Pressure is mainly used to measure the pressure changes in the formation. It employs high precision quartz pressure probes and is suitable for measuring various oil, gas, and water wells.
    CCL is mainly used to determine the depth of down- hole instrument's insertion.It is widely used in positioning and perforation operations.

    is mainly used to measure the density of down- hole fluids. Combined with other parameters, it deter- mines the property, content and distribution of the fluids.
    It adopts a non-radioactive method: by detecting the oscillation period of a tuning-fork sensor immersed in the fluid, the fluid density is calculated and a continuous density curve is provided. Stable and reliable, it is suitable for measurements in oil, gas and water wells.

    uses a high-temperature and fouling-resistant plastic impeller and internal bus wiring, can be connected any position below telemetry sub.
    It measures fluid velocity inside the tubing and can serves a supplement to other flowmeters, running simultaneously with other flowmeter to improve the success rate of flow mea- surements.

    Vigor VTWF Temperature Water-Holdup Flowmeter Combo Tool
    is used to detect water holding rate of the fluid in the well, the temp., and the flow rate of the fluid, providing information for the analysis of fluid properties.
    Water holdup sensor adopts the capacitance method to measure the ratio of water to hydrocarbons in the well. Temp. sensor uses a platinum resistance temp. probe to respond quickly and accurately to the temp. of the well fluid. The flowmeter are used to detect the rotation speed of the impeller.

    Vigor VXYC XY Caliper measures X- and Y-axis diameters in both cased and open holes; combined with flow data it corrects flow rates and identifies casing deformation, breaks, or open-hole geometry.

    1.Flow Profiling

    PLT tools are used to create a profile of the flow of fluids (oil, gas, and water) within the wellbore. They measure flow rates and distribution at various depths, helping operators understand the contribution of different zones or perforations to the total production.

     

    2.Types of PLT Sensors

    Spinner Flowmeters: Measure the velocity of the fluids by recording the rotation speed of a spinner blade. Faster spinning indicates higher fluid velocity.
    Temperature Sensors: Detect temperature changes along the wellbore. Sudden temperature changes can indicate fluid entry or exit points.
    Pressure Sensors: Record pressure variations, which can provide insights into reservoir characteristics and fluid gradients.
    Gamma Ray Detectors: Used for depth correlation and identifying radioactive markers.
    Capacitance and Density Sensors: Distinguish between different fluid phases (oil, water, gas) by measuring capacitance and density changes.

     

    3.Data Interpretation

    The data collected by PLT tools needs to be interpreted to provide actionable insights. This involves understanding the behavior of different phases (oil, gas, water) in the wellbore and the interactions between them.
    Interpretation helps identify problems like water or gas coning, crossflow between zones, and unexpected fluid entry.

     

    4.PLT Operations

    PLT tools are run in wells using a wireline, coiled tubing, or sometimes slickline. The tool is lowered into the well and then pulled back up, recording data continuously or at specific intervals.
    Logging can be done under different conditions, including static conditions (shut-in well) and dynamic conditions (producing well) to gather more comprehensive data.

     

    5.Production Optimization

    The main objective of using PLT is to optimize production by identifying issues such as underperforming zones, water/gas breakthrough, or channeling.
    Based on PLT data, decisions can be made about well interventions, such as adding or blocking perforations, stimulation, or water shut-off treatments.

     

    6.Well Integrity and Diagnostics

    PLTs also help in diagnosing well integrity problems like casing leaks, tubing leaks, or crossflow between different formations.

     

    7.Types of Production Logging Tools

    Fullbore Flowmeter (FBF): Measures flow across the entire cross-section of the wellbore.
    Continuous Flowmeter: Used to measure the flow in wells with variable cross-sections.
    Gradiomanometers: Used to measure differential pressure across a certain section to determine fluid density.
